Lagey Raho Munnabhai!

Yesterday I went down to watch "Lagey Raho Munnabhai..".
Star Cast: Sanjay Dutt(Munnabhai aka Murli Prasad), Arshad Warsi(Circuit aka Cirkeshwar), Vidya balan(Jhanvi), Boman Irani(Lucky), and Mahatma Gandhi.
My Rating: 9.5/10

I think the title best suited for the movie would have been 'Munnabhai MEETS Mahatma Gandhi", as the producers had previously decided. One should go out and watch this movie, without giving it a second thought. Its fabulous Movie I have seen in recent times.
Its just opposite to much hyped RDB affect. It shows the relevance of Gandhian idealism in this era. And it does so, in a very interesting way. I do not believe much in Gandhi'sm. But yes, it was one of the best moives I ever saw. Sanjay Dutt at his best, but the character I love the most was Arshad Warshi. He is a fantastic actor. Fabulous with great sense of comic timing.
Its better than Munnabhai MBBS.

Moving on to daily life, I bought a new phone LG AD6335.

The worst part:

1)Even the LG website(Global, as well as Asia-Pacific) does not have any information about their this product. Leave alone information, its not there in their catalogue.

2) Camera is not of good resolution. What makes the matter worse is, its flash. If you use the flash, you'll get a white blank picture. Since its flash is too close to eye-piece, or maybe the timing is not good. What surprises me is, although it has go 3840KB of space for camera pictures/videos. It allows you just 10 sec of recording. (See a pic tken with the camera)

3) This phone started 'hanging' the very first day it was in my hand. It had an option for muting the call the first day, which disappeared from the third day of my ownership. And it did pop up once again, all of a sudden. Just once.

4) Battery lif e is not good for an avid talker like me..just around 1 hr 20 mins. However they advertise it to be 3 hours.

5) Its flip-top structure is not good. it started shaking the very first day.

I have used Nokia, Sony Ericcson, Motorola, Haier, Spice, Samsung and this was m first hand at LG. The phone or the manufacturer, I shall ever consider will be in this preference...

1) Nokia. -Product is reliable and so is after sales service. There is nop software punga.

2) Spice - Its an Indian Company, and products are really good. With no problems occuring in my 5 months of ownership and also, its very very ver affordable compared to other companies and features.

3) Sony Ericcson. They are one of the best. Good looks, Nice features, economical than Nokia.

4) Motorola - Few products are really awesome.

And I won't ever consider the rest. Until and unless, one gives me money, and put a gun to my head....

Coffee Cuppa

For a number of days now, I've been frequented all the coffee outlets in Delhi NCR. I am a coffee die-hard-fan and a connisseur(spelling mistake, huh) . Of all the ones, I love The 'Barista'. It was the first Indian coffee chain, and they make the best coffee in the world(STARBUCKS is though number 1, i guess its presence all over the world does the trick).

What makes me wonder is how can a coffee chain make rubbish coffee? COSTA COFFEE is one of the worst....I donno whats their recipe for Cappucino is, but it tastes horrible. Ideally cappucino has milk, 1:3, coffee powder 1:3, foam 1:3. Barista does it 25:50:25. Still, it tastes good..maybe because they use Arabica coffee.

Then comes Americano, a lighter coffee. (Irony: America produces negligible amount of coffee requirement of world. While it is one of teh highest consumer. Its their brewing what make them famous. Same with Italiano. Italy does not have the requisite climate for producing coffee. Its again their blending, roasting method. And India is one of the largest producer of coffee. And the best ones: Malabar coffee. However it exports the raw material and imports the processed ones.

While filter coffees as u get everywhere: I don't drink it simply. I consider it A INDUSTRIAL WASTE.

SO, next time you are having a mug of coffeee....don't forget to invite me...............Love you, illy Coffee.

" We are not going to get peace in a begging bowl."

Well, they have striked again! And the rhetoric "Salaam Mumbai", is not going to take away their pain, anguish, and the loss. The sheer scale of fatalities in this latest coordinated serial explosions in Mumbai distinguishes it from the succession of many bombings in between 1994 and 2005. And it brings to mind largest ever terrorist strike on Indian soil - 1993 bomb blst where it left 257 dead and caused lossed into tunes of billions.

And this just seems to be an intervening link in the chain of terrorist strikes which has been ailing this country for long and large. Though the magnitude of the tragedy is high, modus-operandi quite same; but I wonder if it is going to break through the lethargy of state in the past. This is already apparent in the 'pro forma' statement issued by the prime minister condemning the attacks. When I read his statement today in the news paper, I was left very much shocked. "We all are united and any attempt to affect our solidarity will be thawed. The wheels of Economic achievement will keep on revolving. " Mr. Prime Minister, May I ask you one thing? Is the solidarity only meant for suffering together, wiping away each other's saline? Our 'determination to fight terror', and 'war against terrorism', I believe has only remained a poor rhetoric, which no tax-payer will be willing to take. After all, the defence and the Intelligence expenditure accounts for a major chunk of the budget, which otherwise could have been spent on works for "Mumabi's flood like situation", "powerless Delhi", if not for the poor farmers committing suicide in scores every week, malnourished children dying for want of food et al.
Meanwhile Pak's foreign minister Kasturi's remark that 'Unless the "real issue" of Kashmir was settled, such incidents will continue came a hard slap to The Indians like me. And our way of retaliation was condemning his attack, and gently chiding Pakistan to close their 'shops' of terrorism. Meanwhile, committing that peace talks will go on. What the **** is this supposed to be?
Are we not a mature nation?
Our intelligence have many a times clearly pointed that these terrorist organisation with whatever name (e.g. Lashkar-e-taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul-ul-Muzahideen, harkat-ul-Muzahideen) are just handiwork, creations, instrumentalities and facade of the ISI, Pakistand sponsored principle intelligence(read, terrorist) organisation.

We understand that there can be no permanent strategy of defence against terrorism, as they will find some breach in it or erode them out through sustained effort. But we also understand there is lack of acumen among politicians, as they can't afford to loose the Muslim vote bank. But when will White collared people realise that they are also an integral part of this country and such attacks also mount losses on them, more than any one else; personal, economical and most important society. As everyone tends to look at them with suspicion because of the religious tag related and the concession doled out to terrorist because of vote.

Another case of hoodlum politics is Mr. Mulayam Singh, he wants that SIMI(students Islamic movement in India) be allowed to operate, and the ban on it should be revoked. In the last 5 years it has been banned there are enough evidences to prove that they have only got stronger. And more of SIMI's acitivst are taken up by other terrorist organisation.

Why can't we fight a straight war for once and for all, finsih that with elan. When I say this, I understand the intensity, magnitude and pressure involved. But with the international support rallying behind us we can afford to do so, as Interpol has also identified terrorist organisation are working from PoK, and Dawood staying in Pakistan. They reports say that Osama, and Dawood have both shifted to Baluchistan, civil war strifen area. We can do that. Offence is the best form of defence, we have to realise that. Unless India gets totally one sided, terrorism won't end. Neutalisation is not of any help; past experiences show that they only harm and don't do us a iota of gain.

And for that we need political acumen and we desperately need to get out of administrative lethargy. Because this cannot be achieved as long as policy makers seek to obtain peace by providing concessions to terrorist and their sponsors, or receive peace in a begging bowl!

We stand united!

India crashing!!!

Dear Fellow Citizens,
For last few days, there's been a lot of hullabuloo over quota. But before proceeding further, we need to know all the things pertaining it. The idea was mooted by British Raj in 19th Century, but didn't materialize owing to massive outrage, huge protest. Few caste have been suppressed for centuries and time immemorial, agreed! Our old system and ages old thinking, and superstition did the effect.

But now, things have changed! Society have moved on to be better. Divides have narrowed, virtually ended. However, much can't be done from public side regarding socio-economic factor. Quantum(their number) and application(economic status) matters!

Reservation won't be of any help. As it will create further divide, a great Indian Lacunae in society.

1. Those with quota, and thosw without it.

2. Without Quots's meritocracy will rise, inevitably due to competition. However, the worst part will be it shall create lots and lots of frustration, agony, hatred.
With quota's meritocracy will, but decline. As they will have an edge. Eventually, free meals maketh a person lazy. That's obviously should be a cause of concern for every Indian.

3. Hatred will emanate from all walks of society. India will be on Fire.

I'm not saying that OBC's or for that matter, any section of society is less meritorious, less intelligent. We all are equally important, equally talented and intelligent. We all know, Caste has nothing to do with it. Socio-economic condition has to.

So, if we want our country to have equality for all. Lets diminish the caste system, remove each and every quota, and bring in more and more development program for the less privileged ones. We all shall contribute to it. Quots is no solution. provide them with equal opportunity to study and excel. Make cumpolsory free primary education, meals, and free coachings for less privileged ones. Excellence has to be the keyword in this century, else we shall be left behind.

My fellow citizens, I come from OBC, but I don't believe in such systems, and I feel strongly for my country. My fellow Indians, ignoring caste and system, let me tell you this DECISION will do no good to anyone of us. Quotas at the max can only get you in. And remember, Getting in is easy, Getting out is not! And more tougher is getting out victorious. So I ask Governement to provide them with conditions which brings out the excellence. Making a beggar work for his bread, is better than giving him the bread. cause that bread won't last for long. Lets get united, and let Mr. Arjun Singh know that we won't let him play with the future of country. Not anymore, Mr. Singh. 59 years of politics has done enough harm.

I have certain plans and ideas to carry out a protest. But the most important thing is it has to be done in a peaceful and effective way, without bearing any effect on Indian Economy and without affecting a single Indian in bad way. After all, we all are here for better India. Our India. It doesn't pinch me, when anything pricks me personally, but I strongly feel for India. Join this movement, if you are willing to shed the baggage of selfishness. The Point here is: India.

Please send in your suggestion, advices, and comments...and also confirm your participation. Send this mail to as many people you can.

1. We can take up broom and sweep areas in front of Parliament. (Similarly, we will sweep away dirts of Parliaments)
2 Shoe polish in front of International Airport, And railway stations, in front of parliament. (let them know what they r doing to future of tommorows)
3 Put up a march with placards. (read it and understand it, if you can't listen to sentiments)
4 Black out everyday for 5-10 mins. continously till govt. reverts back. (after all, this will what the future be. Lets show them what their decision is going to do)
5. A Plantation drive / assemble school going children, street children and teach them in front of parliament. (Be assured Mr Singh, we are going to give them a lesson on caste differences etc. etc.)
6. take a bowl, and beg in front of parliament (obvioulsy, this is what people will do...beg for jobs, beg for livelihood)

Please revert back and send it to as many people you can. Please help me in mobilising support. Get back to me, who feel the same. We will achieve INDIA OF OUR DREAMS.

Regards,
Rajeev Ranjan.

Namaste....

Namaste! People,

Wheat and Rose! Its one of the famous and greates short story in Hindi by Shri. Rambriksh Benipuri. What exactly the title symbolise, has always been a case of literary and erudite debate for decades.

Wheat, an important staple and also source of livelihood for millions, and the reason of livelihood for billions, is an essentiality. Without which one can't do! This is the minimum essential need for all human beings on this Mother Earth.

Whereas, Rose has always been termed with luxury, style, elan'. So, this are really two most contrast things in this world; metaphorically they stand apart.

Same happens with every being, phases come when they strive for luxury from essentiality. Just try and relate it to things in your life; you'll come across my point. I left Engineering, a fancy degree for Normal Graduation; an essentiality.

I guess I bored you guys a lot, with my insipid philosophy. Be prepared for the next post.....It will be different. In this very first post....I wanted to explain the idea behind the title.

.....Do comment....to keep me going.
